COLLECTORS POLICY

What to know...

Collector’s Policy

By purchasing any artwork by Harold Waight, the collector agrees to the following terms:

A. All Sales Are Final

Due to the nature of original artwork and limited edition items, all sales are final. No refunds or exchanges will be issued once a purchase is complete.

B. Commissions Are By Invitation Only

The artist reserves the right to accept or deny any commission requests. Commission opportunities are highly selective and are considered on a case-by-case basis.

C. Selectivity of Projects

Harold Waight is intentional in his creative process. Not all projects will be accepted, and the artist does not commit to work that does not align with his vision or values.

D. Payment Terms & Cancellations

All payments must be completed in full before artwork is released. Payment plans are available through automatic monthly installments. A $50 late fee will apply to any missed payments.

If a collector is unable to complete their payment plan, they will forfeit ownership of the artwork and will not be entitled to receive the piece. In such cases, 30% of all payments made may be refunded, while 70% will be retained as a non-refundable restocking and administrative fee. No exceptions will be made.

E. Ownership & Reproduction Rights

All original artworks remain the intellectual property of Harold Waight. When you purchase an original or commissioned piece, you are acquiring the physical artwork only. The artist retains the right to reproduce, sell, and distribute images of the work for promotional or commercial use, regardless of ownership of the physical piece.

F. Certificates of Authenticity

Each original work, print, or limited edition item is hand-signed by the artist. Originals also include a certificate of authenticity.

G. Continued Use for Promotion

The artist reserves the right to use all original works — including those sold or commissioned — for promotional purposes, exhibitions, publications, and digital marketing.

H. Collector Possession Rights

Once a work is sold, it physically becomes the property of the collector. However, the conceptual, creative rights remain solely with the artist. The artist does not have the right to remove sold work from a collector’s possession.

I. Reproduction by Collectors is Prohibited

Collectors may not reproduce, sell, or profit from any work created by Harold Waight. Any violation of this term grants the artist the right to pursue full compensation equivalent to a commercial licensing or commission fee.
